We have had a busy 2nd term with our usual interhouse and inter school competitions. The Junior interschool was won by Tom Price District High who also came runner up. The Senior interschool was won by Corpus Christi College with John XXIIIrd and John Septimus Roe coming equal second and the Chinese school from Hong Kong coming a creditable third, in fact they scored the highest scores for the improv team games. See the letters from the Hong Kong group on our website.

We have placed a big emphasis on stage presence in our workshops for the competitions; this includes lots of status work and displaying confidence and stage presence. This has improved the quality of the shows, especially with the younger students. I'll put an activity in each newsletter for you to try but if you have one that works please us know and we'll publish it here.

We are also very pleased to announce that our course has been endorsed by

Our course has been endorsed by the Curriculum Council, That means that students who undertake a workshop series and do a reflective journal can gain a pass in the endorsed course. Students must attend a series of workshops of 10 hours or more and thus students can be involved in the interschool competitions and qualify for the endorsed programme. Very exciting for those students who prefer alternative learning.

We also presented at the Moving Forward conference conducted by the Curriculum Council which focused on students in years 11 and 12. We presented a values based workshop which would assist students to understand a corporation and their values and how they display them in interviews, work placement and finally retaining employment. This was developed from our work in values training in mining companies. Our presentation can be found at http://www.det.wa.edu.au/schoolleavingage events

This semester looks interesting for us with lots one off workshops around the metro area in various schools, so that means we have lots of spots for short workshops if schools are interested. We have worked in a number of schools helping year 12's with developing their OSP's- so give us a call.
